Lead Teacher Courtney Wheeler
Courtney Wheeler is an elementary teacher licensed in Washington and Oregon and a mom of three who graduated with her Masters Degree in Teaching from George Fox University in 2014. She spent four years teaching 4th and 5th grade in Kelso, Washington before having her first son and moving back to Carson, Washington to be close to family. Her husband, Ian, and herself have attended River Christian Church since they were kids. Courtney loves being a teacher and has homeschooled her children for preschool and Kindergarten. She is also a substitute teacher for Stevenson-Carson School District and tutors students locally. Courtney speaks Spanish fluently and spent a year teaching middle school and high school math in Costa Rica. Outside of school, Courtney loves being with her husband, Ian, and three children, Weston, Sutton, and Colt. She also loves being outdoors playing tennis, hiking, swimming, and biking. Her passion for faith-based early childhood education options in Skamania County has brought her the joy of opening Stepping Stone and making this dream a reality for families in this small community.
