Our Curriculum

Teaching To Prepare and Transform

For our 3-5 year old combined class, we offer a pre-school education designed for kindergarten readiness while also developing social skills through indoor and outdoor play and exploration.  Our curriculum is a play-based learning program that integrates literacy, math, science, bible, and fun into learning through hands-on interactive activities. Our goal is for students to enjoy learning through sensory exploration, music, movement, and age-appropriate materials.  In the beginning of the year we will do simple individual assessments of students to create a baseline and develop learning goals tailored to your student. Small group and individual instruction will be designed based on learning needs regardless of age. If your student is ready for a more challenge, differentiated instruction will be provided in whole group, small group, and individual settings.  We believe in the science of reading and the powerful tool it can be in developing  foundational  phonics skills to prepare students to learn to read.  Hands-on learning and play will be present every day to allow students plenty of time to learn through exploration.  Social and emotional learning is a major part of learning for this age group and many parts of our day will be devoted to learning how to be a kind and respectful human to everyone we meet.  We will also be incorporating the Fruits of the Spirit into our preschool monthly themes as well as having a simple Bible story each day for our morning work.
